Updated Wage Rates (AEWR) Delayed

It’s July, so that means the entire H-2A industry is holding its collective breath waiting for the new Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs) to be published.

Well, we’re all going to have to wait a little longer for those new rates. USA Farm Labor learned yesterday that the Department of Labor (DOL) has confirmed a delay in publishing the new wage rates. The updated AEWRs should be published around late July or early August.

This comes on the heels of last year’s announcement that lowered wage rates and completely changed wage determination methodology for the ‘26 growing season and beyond.

While we’re not entirely sure what to expect with the new wages this year, we are monitoring news coming out of the DOL and will let all of you know as soon as we hear something.
